Today we would like to introduce our fearless leader, Jennifer Rose Davis. Jennifer has proven herself so talented and versatile within The Archive Theater that we sometimes wonder if there is anything she cannot do. For our production of Cyrano de Bergerac in September, Jennifer has spent the last seven years lovingly crafting the translation and the vision for the show, as well as collecting and making props, costumes, and scenic elements. She will be heading up the creation process as our Director, while also contributing in many other areas of production. In terms of The Archive Theater, she acts as our Managing Director and is responsible for much of the social media content we produce. We are grateful for her vision, leadership, and endless determination.

In her life outside The Archive Theater, Jennifer is a writer, director, actress, singer, musician, costumer, mask maker, artist, graphic designer and all-around Renaissance woman. Her theatrical credits include Music Director, Costumer, and Set Designer for “Der Bestrafte Brudermord” with The Hidden Room. She was also Associate Costume Designer under Costume Designer Jenny McNee for “The History of King Lear” by Nahum Tate with The Hidden Room for which she won a shared Austin Critic’s Table award. Jennifer designed costumes and danced Butoh for “Still Now” with Shrewd Productions. She was also the costumer for “Changelings” at the Vortex Repertory Company and created Tudor era costumes for Austin Shakespeare’s staged readings of Shakespeare’s “Henry VIII” and Hillary Mantle’s “Wolf Hall,”and Elizabethan costumes for “The Merry Wives of Windsor” co-produced by Austin Scottish Rite Theater and the Weird Sisters. She designed Pride and Prejudice for St. Edward’s University and is currently designing costumes for The Little Mermaid, Zilker’s 2019 Summer Musical.
